Have done some searching and don't see anywhere where a good option has been posted. Third year in a row mine has cracked, only hand tightening the pressure fittings and no tape.

Searching for an option came across this. Any thoughts if this would work well? Would like to find at least some alternative in case they stop making it as well.

Flowmaster gal Meter

Mine cracked three years ago and I never replace it. It's only a flow indicator, I found that it's really not needed. Spend the money on a pinch valve to replace the 90 degree shutoff valve. It will give you finer control of the flow.

Yea, there is something wrong with the Liquidator flow meter thread pitch. It doesn't seem to exact match the included fittings. Very easily cracked . I just stopped using them altogether when I was using a Liquidator.
That flow meter is pretty cool , but if I was going to spend $50. on a Liquidator flow meter , I would put that money towards a Stenner instead (and I did actually , lol) .
Otherwise a cheap pinch valve to replace the adjustable Liquidator valve might be a wiser investment , but that flow meter is pretty cool .

I actually have the Haward needle valve so I have very good control of the flow. Maybe that just becomes the case, ditch flow valve all together. I do like being able to monitor it though as the pressure rises I usually do a fine adjustment. Since I only need to backwash about every 3 weeks typically I'm slowly raising the flow over that time then back to the original point after the backwash.

My flow meter got chlorine salt flakes in it and made the ball get stuck on the side of the tube, which wouldn't indicate anything. This occurred daily. Got the better flow indicator, same issue. Both floats jammed up from chlorine salt residue and failed every 2 days (my water was "in balance").:brickwall:

Thank goodness, it forced me to buy a SWG.

I read the disclaimer, and that was good info; but this thread has good info I just wanted to contribute to it.
Many of the links referenced are now broken.

Here are some new links for this flow meter gear; I was able to find them even though many of the links were broken.
No real question just an attempt and contribution/update.
