Liquid Chlorine Has No Smell??

I bought my first 2.5 gallon jug of chlorine from Pinch a Penny today and when I busted it out I noticed something was missing....the smell of bleach! It is completely odorless and dark yellow like urine.

Is this normal?

Is there a date code, or is this a refillable container? How do they store it at Pinch a Penny?

Yes, refillable. Lady told me it was filled this morning. Stored in a separate room with other chlorine. She said it gets shipped at 15% and that it should be about 11% now.

Liquid chlorine won't usually have a strong smell.

Just dip something in it (like a kitchen knife) and then rinse it into a glass and test it. You'll know instantly if there's chlorine in there or if it all broke down into expensive salt water. Update: the odorless liquid chlorine from Pinch a Penny has been keeping my FC levels on point, so it is working. I also spoke with an employee there and they assured me that there should be no odor to the bleach unless it touches a contaminate.

Bleach/chlorine definitely has a smell. It's not overly strong and is not that overwhelming "pool smell" people often associate with chlorine but there is a unique chlorine smell to luquid chlorine. Definitely not "oderless"!
