I recently purchased a home with an in-ground pool. It needs work but it's functional. TFP has been a great resource so far.
I'm using my Taylor test kit and Pool Math app to SLAM it but I'm having trouble finding reasonably priced and fresh liquid chlorine near me. I'm in the central New Jersey area. I bought 3 gallons of 10% for $10 on sale from Home Depot. I was about to purchase more but realized it was manufactured in January of 2024. My research on TFP tells me that's degraded substantially. My local pool store sells 1 gallon of 12.5% for $8.75 which seems insane to me. I tried using the chlorine locator on TFP and the stickied thread but both seem quite outdated.
Does anyone have any leads on reasonably priced fresh liquid chlorine in the central NJ area? Alternatively, I may use cal hypo instead if I can't find any fresh liquid chlorine. Does anyone have any leads on reasonable cal hypo prices? I'm not opposed to ordering either online but haven't found anything promising and I'm getting overwhelmed by the options.
