Link between TA and CYA?

Hello. What is the link between TA and CYA, if any? How do they relate and how they impact each other? Does a high CYA imply high TA?

I was seeing no link between these parameters but now I am not sure.

Approximately one-third of the CYA is included in the Total Alkalinity.

The Adjusted Alkalinity that pool stores report is TA- that amount of CYA.

Poolmath handles that when using TA to determine acid amounts to lower pH, etc.

Ok. Thanks. Should I take that into account and to this calculation when doing the alkalinity test? Example when I provide my results? Or when I decide what to do?

Plug the test results of your K-2006 test into PoolMath and let it do the adjusting.
