Hi, I have a 24' above ground pool. I uncovered it yesterday and started raising the water level. It was drained to just below the skimmer last season. I left the hose running for several hours and came back to this. The liner pulled out from the wall of the pool. I did some research, and I believe this is called a V-bead liner. I heated it up with a heat gun, and was able to stretch it fairly easily, so I think this can be fixed? My problem is the stabilizer bars/rails. I'm trying to remove the one from the affected section so I can fold the liner over the top again. The rails don't interlock with one another, but they appear to be locked into the top plates on the uprights. How can I remove just this one rail without removing all of them? If I pull off the adjacent rails, the liner will pull out of those sections too.
Other concerns: Is there any reason why this happened? Should I expect it to happen again? The liner is about 10 years old. There was also some water in-between the liner and the wall. I sucked it out with the wet/dry vac, but it seems to slowly come back. There does not appear to be any water leaking out of the pool.
Please pardon any incorrect terminology. I'm still learning.
Thanks,
-Chris
