Liner loose at corners and possible air in in floor cleaner return jets

So we are new to pools so not sure if panicking a little.

The liner at each corner is not tight to the wall and pushes in if you press it. Is that normal or could it be water behind the liner?

Also, we turned the system on last night and it appeared that the in floor cleaner return jets had air bubbles coming from them so we quickly turned it off again.. could this be an issue? Is there anything we should check?

FYI the slimmer and return lines are not turned on as we know there is an issue there.

The liner should stretch a bit and settle down with the weight of the water in it. Let your builder know and see how it develops.

I don’t know what your plumbing is for running your IFCS without the skimmer and returns running. It is normal to have some air in the system at startup that needs to get purged.

is the water level at least to the middle of the skimmers?

Are you burping the air relief valve in your filter?

You need to let the system run for a while and purge air out.

So we have a neighbour who worked for their dads pool company for 20 years and we got him over.
After some investigation the issue seems to have been because we plugged the skimmers (because there is a leak and they aren’t being used). Apparently one of the skimmers is actually connected to the main line so by plugging it we were stopping it being able to get enough water in.
That problem is now dealt with.

Close to the top of our list is working out where the leak is...we will try the dye test tomorrow.
