Liner fade

I have a section of my pool where there is a line of fading on the liner right above the typical water line. Is this UV damage? I can’t imagine chemicals would cause this on just a section?

Is this where a robot runs along the edge? OR where you put chemicals into the pool?

Is this where a robot runs along the edge? OR where you put chemicals into the pool?

I haven’t really noticed the robot especially in that section and I usually broadcast chemicals around the entire pool.
