Thank you. Pool had only been opened for 12 days when I noticed initial and recent picture is only 1.5 old. During initial time it was opened by pb pool company to set up chemicals and then I worked with to dial back swg until we found what worked. That FC was at the initial swg setting ended up going from 60 to 40 to 20% over a couple of days to find sweet spot for my CYA.
Do you know why your CYA level has gone to 10ppm in the past few weeks? Is that a pool store test result?

My pool pump was broken for 8 days, my FC went to 0 and it rained a ton from tropical storms so I had to pump a good amount of water out. Just added a gallon of liquid conditioner yesterday. Of course I am now about to battle a overnight chlorine loss that I am having while I get the chemistry back right. Water is still clear.

Was curious how you measured 10ppm. I though the test bottomed out at 30ppm

You are correct it does however there was still some cloudiness to it. I just checked after adding the gallon yesterday that was supposed to raise me 30PPM and my current test showed me at 55. So I assume I was somewhere around that 10-20.

Liner fading can also be iron staining.
It makes it look faded from the staining.
I thought mine was fading fast too. But it turned out to be iron staining throughout.

Try a sock with crushed vitamin c tablets. Hold it onto a faded area for a few minutes. If it looks more blue in that area, you have iron.

That would be great news and I will give it a shot however I don’t have high hopes. Thanks for the tip!

Blues shed some die right off the bat but alow way down with the right chemistry. Cheaper liners are worst, I've seen liners fade really bad in a season on the sunny side due to UV. That's what makes a premium brand like merlin or Latham coat more it's the vinyl and dye quality

Thank you for input. After the fact I am reading about blue dyes. This is a GLI liner 28mil looks to be printed on a dark gray base and had a deep blue and black pattern. Only the deep blue has faded the black has stayed.liner still looks good and you would not know unless you put a new piece next to it or if you are in the pool and it is wavy you can see the line. You would almost think it’s a light reflection. Any suggestions? Something I should talk to my PB about or call GLI?

Nothing you cam really do because it al goes back to water chemistry amd this is out of their control. High FC levels really put a hurting on blue dyes.

Would it make a difference if I noticed the start of this about ten days after pool opening?
