Light Popped Out

Hey all - my single underwater light popped out of its "bracket" this weekend. I wasn't there, so I don't know if it was the result of a child playing with it or if it just decided it didn't want to be underwater any more. Anyway, it's floating presently, but still fully wired up. I haven't tested turning it on. No one was electrocuted, so I think it's still safe to swim, but have no intention of turning it on until it's corrected.

Anyway, my question: is this something I can self-service, or would you all recommend I bring a professional in? I'll try to get a pic later today to post -- didn't have time this morning. Should I keep everyone out of the pool until it's corrected? The only way to turn the light on is through the Pentair control panel on an AUX switch.

TIA.

Fatty,

There is no real danger.. The cord should be long enough to set it on the deck if you want. Just don't turn it on.

Normally there is a ring with one screw that holds it in place. I'd first try to find the ring (easy) and the screw (not as easy)...

Just push the light back into the niche, put the ring on and install the holding screw.

Best to have a face mask so you can see what you are doing.

Thanks,

Jim R.
