Hello,
We are building a pool 24' X 12' (with steps on the shallow side) and are planning to use 3pcs of the Pentair Microbrite fixtures.
I have read a lot of forums and they all advice to install the fixture away from the house.
The idea is to install the 3pcs on the long side of the pool away from the house. (8' between the fixtures and 4' between the wall and the first fixture)
My question now is, is the microbrite powerfull enough to lightup the 12' width of the pool.

If not, should we add 2 on one long side (away from the house) and 1 in the middle of the opposite longside ?

Please advise,

Thank you,

Our rectangular pool is 13’ wide x 48’ long and our 7 Microbrites are placed along the side away from the house. They provide plenty of illumination for the full width of the pool.

Good luck.

We are in the middle of our build of the same size pool. We are also doing 3 of the Pentair Microbrites. We ended up putting two on the long side and one at the top of the steps facing away from our house. We did have the steps bumped out from the rest of the pool so they would take up minimal space.

We are building a 16x30 rectangle and have 2 microbrites. PB really felt one was ample but I wanted more.

In the pic you can see the spacing. The lights are the two closest the camera. 10’ spacing on both sides. I expect it’ll be awesome!

I think you will be happy with 2 lights. We did now have space for a second niche or would have done the same.

looking at your pictures closer…. We have a similar setup with a retaining wall and a wood fence behind it. The retaining wall will be right up on the fence, about 6” off, so I didn’t do any lighting in the wall along the fence as I planned to do up/down lighting like you did as well as some Polk Atrium8s (I think I spot a Polk Atrium sub in your space?) We did some lighting on the other side of the wall. See pics…

Would you mind snapping a photo straight on of your fence?

Looks awesome! Nice job!
