Light Bulb

I have a single light in my pool and it hasn’t been turning on. I took out the light unit and the inside seems moist. I wasn’t the installer, but is this case shot?
should I put in a new bulb and see what happens or just buy a new bulb case?
(I’m not trying to electrocute myself)

Is there any corrosion in the socket itself?

Does anyone know how best to diagnose the pool light? I'm beginning to think it could be the switch or the breaker?
There does seem to be corrosion in the socket. That's why I'm nervous about putting in a new bulb and "seeing what happens", or just biting the bullet and buying a whole new casing.

I'm not sure how I should repair this pool light. I'm about to change out the breaker and the switch incase those parts are causing the trouble (electrically), and then I'd need some help with this socket corrosion. I'd prefer not snaking a new cord through and installing a new light socket if I can avoid that.
