Levels for just opened pool

CYA takes a week to fully dissolve and register on the test. I like to give salt 48 hours. Take them up slowly, you don't want to overshoot on these or you can end up having to drain water.

You are doing great, you'll be an expert in no time!

Thanks for the help everyone. :sunny: Added about half a gallon of 31.45% muriatic acid and setup a little aeration system.

Levels about an hour post addition.

Btw, double check your pool volume. 36K seems quite high for a 20x40.

I think I may be a tad high, but that's what I get from measurements and pool math. It is 9ft in the deep end.

20'x40', assuming a 5' avg depth is 30k gal. 6' avg depth is 36k gal. With a 9' deep end 36k is probably pretty good. You can validate that as you add products and retest to see if you get expected change in level.
