Let's talk sun shelfs....

these would be ideal but can't get the down here unfortunately. ikea-ps-vagoe-chair-outdoor-white-10174641

Just to add some ideas, in my neck of the woods we call then beaches, maybe because they slope. Mine is at its shallowest 6" (150mm) and slopes down to 17.5" (450mm) over 10ft (3m). The shelf then drops off from 4ft (1.2m) shallow end of pool to 6.5ft (2m) at the deep end pending where you are on the beach. Its overall length is 29.ft (9m). I plan on mounting a stainless steel tube into the surrounding concrete (not connected to the pool shell) to mount a collapsible sun shade which hangs over the beach.

I really like this. Kind of like a beach (0) entry. I like that they did it on the long side rather than the short side. Just need a couple bubblers in that area.

Ah hem, I did that. They the pool builder would have done the basic 'beige" rectangle with entry level equipment that "just" does the job so "they" can get the job. Well that is what I have discovered with my pool builder.

We are putting a coping around the top of the beach. So will still have a step-up, or down, but prefer that to all the water lost from the kinds jumping and yahooing if it had 0. I've put 4 white lights around it to give it a white look, and there is a 6.5ft (2m) white exposed aggregate strip off concrete mirroring the beaches ark to widen the beach effect. I did want to do the beach in white pepple and then the rest of the pool in a more blue pebble but that is all to hard for my builder.

No bubblers, just returns on the walls
