Least expensive local control option for Jandy RS4

My new pool came with the Jandy RS-4 controller and Aqualink IQ-30.

The Aqualink works great, my only concern is that it completely dependent on working internet. Should my internet go down, the only control is the "Maintenance mode" on the RS-4. It is a bit disappointing that the IQ does not have any sort of web interface directly accessible from the local network.

So the question is what is the most economical way of adding some sort of local control. My equipment is in an equipment shed, so a wired controller would be an option.

I think you can wire in a Touch or OneTouch controller to your RS system.

Any of the above or even a pda. Keep in mind you'll only be able to turn things on and off but no schedule changes while the internet is down. Be prepared for sticker shock.

The RS system is poorly designed. When you make changes it goes through Jandy's servers and back down to your system. The schedule runs on your system and will continue to run without a connection but you can't make any changes until it's back up. Dumb, yes!
