The drain on top of the cartridge filter, you twist and pull up I think I watched him do and it released water. He said you can attach a hose to it.

There IS a small white pipe close to the top step. I wonder if this is the overflow pipe?View attachment 545452

That looks to be an overflow drain!
Is the level dropping?
Do you see anywhere around the yard that may be the other end of it?
You said you have a septic tank, do you have a main drain?
If so do you know where that gets drained to?

With a second look, it will take a hose.



Sorry. Most of us have a pencil sized pipe sticking out. Draining by hose takes forever though. This 1.6 HP monster is $83 and can move nearly 5k gallons an hour with a 1.5 inch hose. I'm using a 1 inch backwash hose that I had laying around and it's still a firehose.
