leaky jandy valve

Hi All, I have a valve that is used for pumping water out of the pool. it is in the off position but still allowing water out.

do i need to replace a gasket or the valve?

If it’s leaking in the closed position but no water is leaking out of the housing (i.e. the housing isn’t cracked or compromised) just rebuild the valve.
