I have a Hayward SP3010X15AZ Super II pump (23 years old) that I am trying to fix some pump leaks on. I first fixed the output pipe leak and that seemed to work. I noticed a seal leak that was occurring still. I replaced the seal gasket but it is still happening.

I saw some recommendations that I might need to replace the seal plate (part # SPX3020E I think). Is that a recommended next step? Also, any video on how to replace it? I think it is not that bad (I have replaced the pump motor a few times).

Here is a pic of the leak.

Appreciate any help.

You've likely got a bad O ring but those sealplates are know to develop cracks that are very hard to see. Also, their is a seam right at that port for the outlet in the pump body that will split at times as well. The condition of the motor indicates that the shaft seal is leaking. At 23 years, your pump has had a good run. In the 23 years it has run very likely it has pumped nearly 150,000,000 gallons of water if run the way most pools are. You should really think about replacing it with a VSP.
