I have my valve leaking from there.
Tightening makes things worse.
Probably leak got bit worse. I opened it and the only thing I found was that had some tiny rocks stuck.
It leaks from the same place. I noticed that the inner plastic tube is somehow separated from the plastic where oring sits. I do not know whether this is normal. It is hard to describe.
Could it be due to pump ran dry 2 months ago due to kids messing with the pool? Pool prefilter basket was wrapped and got leaks at some pvc joins nearby.
I will post more photos. Should I replace the whole thing?
It looks like a copy of hayward. I see no label there and there are spelling mistakes like for rinse it says ringage.

If the plastic is warped, the only way to solve the issue is to replace the valve. If the heat from the pump running dry caused plumbing issues, as it can easily do, it could have damaged the valve as well.

It doesn't seem warped but somehow the inner wall somehow separated from the flange. Since the leak is at the pump output overheat may have cause it. Now it doesnt leak much. The valve seems cheap since the price with filter is very low.
I wonder if I get other more reputable valve it would be compatible

Valves are not generic, except for a few made by Waterway and CMP for specific brands of top-mount filters. Is this valve attached to the top of the tank or on the side? Which brand and model filter is it?

I can't imagine how an overheated pump could damage your MPV body(?) Then again, I'm only familiar with Hayward and Pentair - not sure what could cause a no-name brand to fail. Do you have a picture of the pump/filter?

I do not know why it failed. New one seems to have no leaks. I have leaks at threads but I will ask at another thread

It is at the side. I git a new one. It seemed broken / cracked.
