Brand new startup with all new equipment. I got everything working, but there is a leak where the water goes into the Pentair heater. I have tried tightening the connection by hand, but it still leaks. Is there a tool to use? Or should I take the connection apart? Any suggestions appreciated.

Turns out that the O-ring was not seated properly. I closed the valves to prevent the water from draining out of the pool, unthreaded the connection, seated the O-ring, and re-threaded it. Opened the values back to normal. All good. Just posting in case somebody else has this issue.

An ornery o-ring might just need some lube, and/or a good cleaning. If they're too dry they can "jump the track" as you're tightening the fitting:
