Leaking around penetrations

We've had some heavy rains a little more than a week after our pool shell was sprayed (Gunite). After the rains I noticed some fairly heavy leaking around some of the pipe penetrations. I know they carved out a niche to allow the pipe to be cut flush easier, and they'll fill it in when they're done. But, is this amount of seepage acceptable at this phase?

The plaster will waterproof those area but they should not plaster while you have any seepage into the pool.

Did you bring it to the attention of your Pool Builder?

Yes, I did and he said basically what you did. Just wanted a second opinion, as fixing it now seems a whole lot easier than later. Thanks!
