I deal with this every year when I open the pool. I have a small leak coming out of the housing of the chlorinator; possibly because the PVC pipe with the two holes is a little warped or flat.
I crank it down until it is almost stopped, but eventually I end up cracking the saddle housing by over tightening. This time I decided to just hand tighten as hard as I could without the wrench.
Do I dare try the wrench or do I just get my pool guy to deal with replacing the pipe? The chlorinator housing is outrageously expensive already. I mean, we're talking about a $14 piece of plastic that I had to shop around to pay over $100 for!
