We had a big rain event last night 4.5" in a couple of hours and it overwhelmed the drainage around the pool. The complicating factor is we just had fresh soil and sod put down earlier in the week. This morning total cloudiness with green hue. Can't even see pool drains.

Yesterday things were crystal clear. Initial testing this morning had chlorine 2ppm and PH in low 6s. Added a 1.5 gallons of 10% liquid chlorine and 6lbs borax with filters and robot running. There doesn't appear to be much sediment left, everything is suspended in the water. No significant change.

Before I keep chasing my tail, wanted to get any thoughts. With the new sod and soil is there nitrogen or phosphorus causing something else to happen? Calcium is low, but that wouldn't seem to cause cloudiness.

Here is a full test panel from now.

FC - 5.1
CC- 0 (maybe .1)
PH - 8
TA - 80
CH - 220
CYA - 50
Temp - 78

Other details

20000 gallon plaster, sand filter with recycled glass, Pentair intelliflo, Stenner pump for liquid chlorine

Thanks

Mark

OK -- be sure to use a 10 ml water sample, one heaping scoop of powder, and each drop of R0871 to clear is 0.5 ppm.
