I read the startup procedures on here as well as pebble fina instructions. Tomorrow Pebblefina goes in and water shortly after. The pool company that plumbed it wants $3500.00 to do the startup. Is this something I can do or should I just pay the $3,500.00? I ordered the test kits but they have not arrived yet.

I've been quoted $600 for my startup, and my neighbor down the street was quoted $450 from the same company (she has less accessories). I would expect yours to cost a little more based on features and location, but there is no way anything involved in startup should cost anywhere near $3500

I got the smaller test kit today. The other is a few days. I probably need to go buy chemicals.

I scrubbed three times today, we added a gallon for Muratic Acid mixed with water. Ran the system. I know it’s frowned upon but until I get my kit on Monday all I can do is go to Leslies.What startup guide will you be following?

Can I get the chlorine at grocery store? They sell the gallons of cy at Leslies. Added one today. Have one more. Will go pick up tomorrow.

Yes. Make sure it is NOT splashless, NO fragrance, No Clorox, No Blue, No 6 in one, No Green, No Blue, No Peach, Strawberry or anything else. Plain Bleach, Unscented or “original scent”
You should use dry stabilizer. Liquid conditioner is Waaaaay more expensive. If you use the liquid, make sure your rinse, then re-rinse the bottle and use ALL of what is in the bottle, otherwise you have no idea what you have added to your pool.
@PoolStored @ajw22 this morning's results. We will add two more gallons of acid and one gallon of the splashes bleach per your request and test again in the afternoon.
