Hello, I have a question about running the pool pump while killing black algae. FC is 14, CYA is 30 and we are brushing several times a day. Do we continue to run the pump 24/7 while doing this, or is it okay to just run it like normal for this time of year?
We had mustard algae when we started the SLAM process 4 days ago, but it appears that has all been killed. Not having much chlorine loss overnight, if any. We just still have several areas of black algae.

Not sure on the pump run time, Marty can better answer that.

One trick that I used when I got some black algae this summer was to try to pour some LC directly on the spots (after scrubbing them). The more aggressive you get with Black algae the better.
