Hello,
new here, we are getting a Kayak pool installed, 16x32x4 with a deep end at 5.5, fully recessed.
They are recommending to have the pump and filter installed <20' away from the pool (not sure how it is measured), but we need to have them 32' away from one corner of the pool.
They say they could do that if we sign a waiver....

Here is the information I have:
- Kayak pools have 2 bottom drains, see attached pictures
- sta-rite supermax pump, unfortunately they haven't been able to tell me the model number.
- we are also getting a salt system if that makes a difference

Any thoughts ? How can we figure out the pros and cons of an extra 10 feet ?

thanks in advance.
Fred

Welcome to TFP.

Who is the “they” saying these things?

What size piping is being used? What HP pump?

An extra 10’ of pipe should make no difference in the water flow.

What does this wavier say?

We do not recommend using the Frog system. It adds undesired minerals to the pool which can lead to staining.

Thanks Allen, happy to hear 10' shouldn't make much difference.

They = installation coordinator at Kayak pool. Expecting pool installation ~Aug 15th. No contact with the installation crew yet, and don't know if they'll be knowledgeable, so trying to be prepared.
Waiver= guessing they just want to cover their back....
Size piping = I asked my coordinator and she said 1.5 -2 inch pvc

Thanks.
