I haven’t reinstalled my salt cell since the water is still only about 50 degrees, so disregarding salt numbers. I’m surprised that the pool isn’t free after removing the cover! What’s your thoughts on these results?

Cait,

My thought is.. Stay the heck out of pool stores....

We teach people how to take care of their own pools so that they never have even drive-by a pool store..

You should take a look at your Pool School.. You will notice that we do stuff very differently than most pool stores.

We'd love to point you in the right direction.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Dont do anything based on their testing.

More like, even if their testing is correct their recommendations are junk.

Does what look right?

The recommendations of what to do look to sell you their stuff whether you really need it for not.

Case in point, they say your pH is high so lower it and your TA is low so raise it. Taken individually it is true. But raising TA will cause your pH to rise which offsets the lowering of your pH. Low TA with high pH is ok. Low TA with low pH may require action.
