Good evening,
I just got my first test kit today. I purchased it through Amazon because I had a bunch of gift cards to use, but all the reagents have an expiration date of 04/25. The powder says 9/24
Should I return it? That seems like this kid is been sitting around for a while. When a new kit is shipped out what is the expert expiration date typically a year? What are your thoughts thank you.

Sadly that's the risk of not using TFtestkits. I get it that you had gift cards, I do. :)

But there's no telling how long it sat on a shelf, or shelves, if it went to a reseller before you.

It also has the wrong supply amounts for how we do things and no $48 stirrer for the same price as the TFpro. Return it, order the TFpro (pro salt if applicable) and save the Amazon cash for something else.

I just checked the dates on my Taylor reagents. Same as yours, but I ordered my kit late last season. I’ll be ordering the TFPro Salt next season.

A year or two if you store them well.

The kit is a one time hit and is mostly setting you up with all the parts you'll need. The reagent refills go on sale each spring for mid $40s, which is much easier to swallow for years 2+

And if you have a problem such as old reagents, you ping @ sarah and nate and 6 to 12 hours later Nate responds with something along the lines of

'Quality control issues need to be addressed. Email me your info and I'll send out replacements'

Stuff happens. It's a part of life. But good luck getting Beezos to respond in a few hours. :ROFLMAO:
