Pool hasn’t been opened in years, and just a pool pad upgrade with new filter, pump, SWG.

I opened up like a normal chlorine pool, but curious as to know when I can transfer over to salt.

also, any good guides on how to care for a salt water pool, and keep the water chemistry proper.

lastly, what is the more recommend salt everyone uses?

Which test kit are you using?

First step is to find out how much salt the pool already has in it, and then add the appropriate amount for whichever SWCG you have.

If the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test is successful, you can start using your SWCG right away.
