2.5 cc is super high but we already know there is a ton of algae in there...
I was thinking of taking it to super slam levels but that is really for mustard algae situations...
We'll see how it does at 16 for a little bit and go from there
When you go back in the morning, check your FC and CC again, post your results and take it straight up to 16 from wherever it is.
Kepp your pump running 24/7 until we get this handled... Brush and skim regularly, clean the filter basket every once in a while and watch your pressure. Back wash around 23-24 psi for about a minute or whenever the little sight glass get mostly clear

Yeah...it kinda just occurred to me that...I'm probably not just supposed to skim the top of the water with a skimmer...

Maintain 16 fc as best you can all day.
It's not gonna change until it's clean... all the gunk from the depths and dead algae needs to be removed before this thing had a chance

Do a full battery of tests on what ever water source you will be using to fill the pool.

Its good info to a have baseline so when yo have to add water, youll have an idea of what you may need to do

Thatll save wear and tear on that little skimmer.. Now if you can find the base and the hose attachment...
Kim is right, its a bag for a leaf eater. I got one to try out and haven't been able to use it because the bag blows off after about 15 seconds! I was thinking of getting a circular spring clamp to hold it on but haven't found one yet. Some zip ties might work too. Look around, maybe they left the rest of it there.
Zea you must have some great water pressure to blow the bag off. Go to the AC section of Lowes and get the zipties from there. They are extra long and wide. The only bad part of that is you will have to cut it off to clean the bag
