We're old with 2 adult kids (no grandkids), a 13 year old and zero pool experience but decided we want to put in a pool! We went with a 16x30 rectangle gunite, tanning ledge with bubblers, bench the entire length, chlorine, with a heat pump to extend swim season, and a travertine paver deck. Current stage: gunite was sprayed about 3 weeks ago, just waiting on the rain to stop so they can move on to the deck.
