Johnny Weissmuller part question

I have a JW pool with the walkaround deck. This year, after problems, the cover went too low into the pool and three of the coping covers were broken. I've contacted Teddy Bear Pools and they have the fronts but not the backs. They recommended buying a different back and pounding it out so that it's flat, but I have no idea how to do that. Any suggestions? I've attached a picture of both my broken piece and the piece they are recommending, if that helps any.

I can just envision "pounding it out" and it snapping just like the old ones.

My pool is 17 years old this July and a have lost a few of them. I don't see how they can be replicated and actually work... ugh.
