My Jandy 2444 valve keeps getting stuck when I switch between pool and spa mode. It makes a clicking sound and I have to manual help it along. Has anyone seen this? I am trying to figure out if there is an easy fix or if I should just buy a new one.
This is great advice, I was about to just buy a new actuator. Will do this tonight and report back! You have two components - a diverter vale with the Jandy actuator screwed on top of it to automate it.
You need to diagnose if the problem is with the mechanical diverter valve or the Jandy actuator.
I would demate and remove the actuator from the diverter. It is held by 4 screws. Manually turn the diverter using its handle and see if it moves freely.
Run the actuator between POOL mode and SPA mode and see if it turns smoothly.
Narrow down the problem and report what you find and we can discuss repairs.

My plan is to open it up after work tonight and snap some photos. I agree, before spending 250 it’s worth a Quick Look.If you are handy, open it up and see if you can find anything that doesn't look right (a broken switch or a cracked cam). You may be able to repair it, and these things have gotten pretty expensive lately to replace. Hey, it's already not working - you aren't going to break it!
