jandy trueclear vs circupool core

Interesting situation. Purchased the circupool core35 and was to pick from UPS outpost that day (missed the home delivery and req. signature). Was speaking with the PB about the SWG installation and automation. From what I've read thus far, can't integrate the circupool into any automations. No big deal. The issue, then, is the PB ended up installing the trueclear that day and didn't inform me of that plan. A misunderstanding... Either way, the option is to cut out the truclear and make an annoying mess and use the core35, or keep it as is. The latter requires an attempt to return the SWG with a re-stock fee, etc as well.
So, given what y'all know about the 2 cells, which option would you choose?
All equipment is Jandy as noted in the sig. Also contemplating the IAqualink (may have to wait on it due to cost and budget), however.

I would keep your Truclear. It integrates with the rest of your Jandy equipment.

Did your installer connect the Truclear to your VS pump to enable Flow Monitoring?

No, not yet. Didn't see the control box either. He added a Pentair device before the salt cell(after heater), which looks like it could be a very glorified flow meter. There weren't any other identifying markers on it that I noted. It is clear on top. Perhaps a check-valve?
It's just a bummer that spec-wise the Core seems better. Also not going to be a fan of having to run the pump & SWG longer due to chlorine production differences (.94 vs 1.4 lbs/day) and the subsequent higher cost to operate. From my understanding anyway, our first pool.

Cost to run a VS pump at low speed to generate chlorine is minimal.

Where does the wire into the TruClear cell run to?

the wire is currently coiled around itself under the unit, it is not attached to anything yet. Sand filter, with glass. Check valve it is.

Verify if the multiport is made for sand or DE.

Can you find the model number on the multiport valve?

Can you show all labels?

Edit - The BWVL-MPV-80 should be correct for the JS sand filter.

The ports are reversed from most other sand filters, which made it look wrong.

I think that BWVL-MPV-75 is the sand filter multiport.

I think that the BWVL-MPV-80 is the DE filter multiport.

Edit - The BWVL-MPV-80 is correct for the JS sand filter.

I think that the multiport is correct.

The JS filter has the inlet and outlet reversed compared to most other sand filters.

For most sand filters, the top port is the inlet and the bottom port is the outlet.
