Jandy salt reading way off the charts

Thank you, so I can disconnect the sensor and start up again to calibrate? I did not disconnect it last time
I would not disconnect at this time.

Just get the salinity to about 3,800 ppm (3.8 GPL) and then recalibrate the box to match the Taylor test kit without disconnecting the sensor.

Once you do that, you should be good to go.

Periodically check the amperage to see if it's staying in the good range.

Watch for any signs of error codes or other issues.

I’m back, got the salt to 3600ppm. I did disconnect the sensor before I read your post, was getting error. Reconnect it and adjusted the salinity to 3600ppm. All seems to be okay, other than my CYA and other Chems are all jacked up. I have my FC @ 6ppm, just dumped chlorine and conditioner in. Will run the pump overnight then turn on the salt cell.

Periodically check the amperage in both polarities to make sure that they are the same and that they are consistent.

When the system says "Cell Reversing" it is the opposite polarity of the normal forward direction.

Check the amperage when it says "Cell On" and "Cell Reversing". And, then check it later when it says "Cell On" but not "Cell Reversing".

It has a 3 hour cycle.

So, at 50%, it will say "Cell On" for 1.5 hours and then ‘Cell Resting’ – (The cell is in the off portion of the chlorine production cycle) for 1.5 hours and then it will reverse the polarity and begin a new 3 hour cycle.

The system automatically cleans the cell’s electrode plates once every 3 hours by reversing the polarity of the electrical current. Whether the system is in forward or reverse, it is still producing chlorine.
