Anyone ever done a bearing replacement on a Jandy variable speed pump? What do I need to know before I start? Does anyone have a bearing part number?
Thanks In Advance

Interesting. Just replaced my neighbors seal bc his was squealing when motor rotated. After replacing the noise stopped. Perhaps something else was causing it that we didn't notice during replacement

Something else is damaged. One part of a shaft seal never moves. A seal can over heat (pump runs dry), damage the pump and become loose in the sealplate or impeller. The rubber becomes rigid, shrinks, and could move. New seal is full-size, and hopefully won't leak. That may account for noise of seal moving in the pump. Only saw that once, in a booster pump.
