Not that I know much now, but when I knew nothing PB installed Jandy Pro Series Water Colors Nicheless LEDs in my otherwise Pentair system. My only control has been to turn on/off using the app or on the panel. And, if I turn off/on fast enough the lights will change to different colors. When I like a specific color, I leave on and then when turned off then back on again - not instantly, the lights retain the last color. Recently, one of the lights came out of sync, but only with blue/green colors. In other colors, it is correct - red, purple, white, etc. I have reset the lights to the white by turning power off for 5 seconds, but the problem still exists...

Do you think this is a broken light or a sync issue? Pictures attached.

Doesn't seem like any other lights would be problem free for the cost of an upgrade, but I'd appreciate suggestions.

Colored LED lights use a mix of red, blue and green LEDs to create the colors.

If you select each of the primary colors do all the lights match? If no, you probably lost one of the colored LEDs in that light.

Not with the blue/green - the very left light in the picture is more green than blue when the others are blue.

Are you saying that you cannot get blue on that light? Then you lost the blue LED.

The lights are not repairable and need to be replaced.

How old are the lights?

Yes, that light is green when the other two are blue. Lights are 4.5 years old.

I think I'll wait to replace with Pentair for full control at a later time. For now, red pool!! ;-)

Thanks for you help!

I understand wanting to stay Pentair, but their lights don’t seem to be robust.

I’m replacing my three failed Pentair GloBrites (niche lights) with Jandy Color HydroCool Led 12W 100' Cord Nicheless Lights, JLU4C12W100P, based on the TFP Forum discussions as a suitable substitute, and failure rates of Pentair GloBrites and failure rates of the newer Pentair IntelliBrites.

I’ve installed one Jandy so far and the installation was slick. The Jandy is threaded (nicheless). The GloBrite is not threaded, it is a niche light. My gunite pool has niche light fittings installed, but it doesn’t matter, the threaded Jandys bite and secure.

Srqpoolguy figured it out…
