Jandy JXI 400 Heater... Wont ignite

Hello Everyone,

I had issues with my pool heater last week where the heater would not power on. I replaced the power distribution PCB board and the minute i gave it power the board blew a trace. So i replaced the transformer and the PCB board. Success!!! powers on. However now it wont ignite. it goes through the sequence and I smell gas and i hear the click to ignite but no SWOOSH and doesn't light. control panel says ignition fault, and the ignition control module blinks 3 times indicating an ignition lockout.

Any ideas on how to clear this error or what my next steps should be?

Have you checked the ignitor?

How do you check the ignitor? is there a resistance test that i can perform?

First step just remove it an look at it. Usually when they are bad it is obvious because the element is broken.
