Jandy JEP2.0 Pumps Show Offline After Thunderstorm - Help Troubleshooting

Setup
- AquaLink RS PureLink - Mainboard - E0260500B Rev.R
- 3 Pumps
- Filter Pump - Jandy Pro EPump Jep2.0
- Water Feature 1 - Jandy Pro EPump Jep2.0
- Water Feature 2 - Jandy Stealth SHPF1.0

After a thunderstorm, both Jandy Pro EPump Jep2.0 now show offline in iAqualink and AquaPalm.

Jandy Stealth works fine (Stealth pump does not use rs485 connection like EPumps).

IAquaLink and AquaPalm still work.

No Error Codes on AquaLink RS.....just EPumps show offline.

All 3 pump relays function and power at all pumps read 240.

On EPumps, I see DC voltage on rs485 wires.

I'm not sure if there is a Mainboard problem or both EPumps went out (unlikely, but possible with lightning).

I tried jumping rs485 pin 1 to 3 and pin 2 to 4 one EPump to see if it would run, but no luck.

I'm looking for further troubleshooting tips, suggestions, etc.....

Thanks for your help.....SouthernHick!

If the pump does not run with the jumpers then the drive is fried.
I think I jumped them correctly. I disconnected all four rs485 wires from the pump and then jumped 1 to 3 and 2 to 4 on the pump side.....but the rs485 wires to the board were not connected to anything....then i turned on the filter pump with the iAqualink app...weird thing is the app immediately turned green for that pump but then turned off. Does the board have to communicate rs485 before it will turn on the 240v relay?

What is the proper process to jumper the JEP2.0 pumps?

VS pumps should be connected to continuous power and not powered through the filter pump relay. How are your VS pumps powered?

RS-485 is a one way protocol. There is no acknowledgement from the pump that it received the RS-485 command. The Aqualink assumes it was sent and received and the pump is on.

The filter pump JEP2.0 is wired off the breaker side of the filter relay so continuous 240 (not through the relay)....relay must be powering other items after filter pump is turned on....will have to track down those wires.....i would assume the chlorinator maybe. I'll have to confirm on the other water feature JEP2.0. I'll have to try and reproduce what i saw....maybe I tapped the iphone screen twice and didnt realize....either way...like you said, it should have started up and ran without the iAqualink anyway.

I can't find a replacement motor for the JEP2.0 - Jandy Zodiac ePump JEP2.0, Gen II Motor with Drive Kit - R0562201

Do they even make these motors anymore?
