Hi, my Jandy heater recently had a new capacitor switch installed. The repair man didn't put it back in remote mode. So I went to the heater, put it in remote t-stat mode.
Now on my Iaqualink app, it shows the pool heater in red all the time, even when it isn't heating any more.
It used to turn green, showing me it was on and ready, and red showing it was currently heating.
What can I do to fix this so it displays as it is supposed to?

There are 2 remote settings. Remote thermostat and RS-485 smart connection to the Aqualink. If you are using the smart connection I think it automatically goes into Aqualink mode. Is it possible he knocked one of the 4 wires from the RS-485 link loose?

I think you need to have the Aqualink up and running first and then turn on the heater it should go into "JANDY REMOTE ONLINE PUSH MENU TO DISABLE" mode.

Thank you, I will see if that is what my heater says and let the forum know what I find.

The heater was put in T-Stat mode. Should it be in the RS-485 Mode? I use the iaqualink app to control the pool and do not have an iAqualink remote. Since my heater is up on a platform elevated 12 ft. in the air, I will need to get the ladder out to get to it. After I climb up there I will provide an update. Thank you everyone for your help in trying to solve this issue. I don't know what I would do without this forum! Thanks!!

Shark,

There are two ways to set up for remote control via the RS controller or another control. These involve a 2 conductor or 3 conductor cable connected to the heater that connect to the green connector on the printed circuit board inside the heater. If you are using the RS 485 connection you will see 4 wires connected to the red connector. If you are using i Aqualink via the RS 485 you should set remote to "off".

Well, success! I looked at the heater panel. It said "JANDY REMOTE ONLINE PUSH MENU TO DISABLE" So I pushed "POOL", because I didn't want to disable it, but there wasn't a green light by the "Pool" button. It now works!! THANK YOU EVERYONE, for all your help in helping me solve this!
