Jandy Heater/Chiller Combo help needed

Hi all,
We have a Jandy JRT3000R heater/chiller combo that our pool builder installed with our pool. It was completed back in December with lots of guidance on running the heater, but not a single word about the chiller. In fact, we didn’t even know we had a chiller until I started researching ways to cool our FL pool down. I noticed that the heater had a chiller option in the menu, but nothing about the chiller in the iAquaLink app, only ability to turn on the heater. Also, I don’t see anywhere in the app where I can add any equipment. I don’t even know where to begin to figure out if the chiller functionality is active or if there is wiring or something that needs to be done. I know that we have a pretty decent pool filter, SWG and heater, but I’m fairly certain we have a less than stellar version of iAquaLink as I can’t do much more than turn my filter, lights and water feature on and off. Can anyone point me in the right direction for this? I am willing to call manufacturer, but if anyone has experience in this topic I would be greatly appreciative of the info!

Is your Jandy JRT3000R connected to Aqualink using the 2 wire connection or 4 wire RS-485 connection? You need the 4 wire connections for iAqualink to control both heater and cooler functions.

Did you ever figure this out?

I checked and it does have the 4 wire setup. But when I put it in Chill and try to control it by setting the Temperature on my app it simply doesn't do anything.

Yes, we had an outdated aqualink. Our pool company came back, gave us the new one, added the chiller and now all is good! There was an app update that had been happening over the last 2-3 weeks that is requiring people to turn off the heater specific breaker for 10 seconds and then flip it back on and that will reset the heater / chiller unit. Once back on, the app can now turn on the chiller from the Home Screen by toggling the temp 1 and heater buttons.

Got it sorted out today. They ran mine with the 2 wire setup. So you CAN use it as a chiller, but you have to just pretend it's heat. Set the unit to chill, but on the app set the temp up high like 104 so that the unit will turn on. A bit janky, but it works.
