Hello, as my Jandy ePump is nearing 10yrs, I'm looking ahead to replacing the motor. I have gone down the rabbit hole for the last two days searching for options.
The original motor appears to be discontinued or extremely priced. Here is what I'm working with-

ePump JEP1.5 R0562202 (genII)
A.O. Smith/Century Motor M48A42D58
Control Zodiac Z4, with iAqualink
48Y V230

Is there a drop in reasonably priced VS option that will work with my controller that anyone can recommend?

Thank you for looking.

Welcome to TFP.

Look at the VGreen EVO motors…

Pump motors can last 20-30 years. Is there any reason you think yours is about to fail?
I had an issue this week where the Pump would not start for a few days due to the breaker instantly tripping as soon as the pump came on. This led to the frustration of not having a clear replacement path. The pump issue resolved itself for now (may have been due to moisture/rain in S Florida), and I want to make sure when it does come time to replace the motor I'm prepared with options that would be cost effective and keep most of my equipment functionality. I'm also trying to learn more about pool equipment in general. The pool came with the house and these are my first experiences with a pool.
