Pulling my hair out trying to troubleshoot issues with my Aquapure 1400 system. Also tired of daily liquid chlorine additions!
The overall system is about 16 months old, the cell is only about 9 months old. I had it replaced once under warranty.
Error Codes: 173 & 187/188
Reported Salt Level: 12750
Actual Salt Level: ~4200 (I know this is high, and will be doing a partial drain/fill to resolve this)
Cell : Minimal scale, and I cleaned it off with just hose water
Cell Prongs/Cable: No signs of corrosion or other issues
Back board: Threw weird numbers when the sensor was unplugged on the board test buttons (2.0 GPL / 113 / HH )
I thought that indicated the board was bad. Lucked out and found a new/open box board on ebay for $30. Replaced it's still producing all the same error codes and erroneous salt level.
Could a bad flow/salt sensor cause these issues? Or does more point towards the transformer? Is there a way to test the flow/salt sensor?
Thanks for any ideas!
