Jandy Aquapure 1400 SWG Cell Sensor - Failure

Hi,

The sensor on the my Aquapure cell is reading about half of what the salt content actually is in the pool. Luckily there is a Leslie's right around the corner from my house and they confirmed that there is enough salt in the pool and that there is chlorine in the pool as well. My question is this...is that sensor just to let me know flow and salt levels but nothing else? I don't care about fixing it if the cell itself will continue to work and I periodically have the water tested for salt levels.

Depending on which aqualink system you have, it will either not produce chlorine, or it will only produce 20% of the time. You need a new sensor

Thanks for the fast reply. I was afraid of that. Now to the internet to find a reasonably priced replacement.

Good luck, they are about $150. Don't buy a used one

Before I buy one and attempt to swap it out, is there any way to know that it's truly the sensor and not the board?

The cell is a few years old. It's still working so I was hoping I didn't need to replace the whole thing.

Ok, sometimes it's cheaper to get the plc1400 cell kit with the cell, power cord and trisensor vs getting them separately.
