Jacks Magic #2 Works...Now What???

Hi All,

Pool is running clean and bright after a successful SLAM this Spring! Now I am trying to deal with the staining on the pool. I ran several tests, including a chlorine puck, vitamin C, Jacks's magic test kit....and the winner by a Landslide is Jacks #2 treatment.

I have no heater in line currently.


So here begins my line of questioning to the forum:


Using Jacks Magic #2 powder and The Blue Stuff....seems to be the best way to clear out the stains....I believe the water still full of the copper.....So



Could I add something like the CuLator 4.0 to the pump basket to remove all of this metal from the pool (while doing the Jacks #2 treatment)?

Would I have to drain the pool completely to really get rid of the metal in the water? (If I do this method....could I eliminate adding the Blue Stuff.....and just treat stains then drain)?

Another question....if Anyone knows the makeup of Jack's Magic #2 Stain treatment....that could also be helpful to see if there is a simpler option to get the staining gone.....

Thanks James. That link doesn't address the remaining metal in the water after #2 treatment. I have poured over the forum before posting the questions.
