Hi there,
I've never used liquid chlorine before (always had a SWG on previous pools). Are these the correct items? One of the HDX says it is Shock but according to the ingredients it's the same percentage of Sod. Hypo. vs. "other" ingredients. How do I know if the those "other" ingredients add unwanted chemicals?

Thanks!

Side note - there was a news report of a major CHLORINE "shortage" due to a Louisiana Chlorine plant being destroyed by Hurricane Laura last year. Sure enough - went to HKOME DEPOT to seriously stock up on that Chlorine noted above. I picked up the last 5 boxes they had!

So question for you all -- LOWE's KEM-TEK Liquid Chlorine looks to be the same thing. ??? I may have to make a run to LOWEs.. Thanks

Same.
The potential issue is solid forms of chlorine, trichlor and dichlor - not liquid chlorine.

Ok, thanks. Just to be sure, it sounds to me that so long as it is "x" % of sodium Hydro. and "x"% of "other" that I needn't be concerned? I just need to watch out for additives (that I assume are listed such as calcium) or mentioned as part of the marketing (such as Clorox)?

If it’s 10% or 12.5% chlorinating liquid (liquid shock, liquid pool shock, etc.) then I’ve never heard of having to worry about the other part of it.
