Is this calcium scaling?

So will it just go away over time? What did I do wrong add too much at one time?
Did you do the OCLT? First need to insure it is not algae. But likely you will have to lower the pH soon after adding that much alkalinity at once. Why did you raise the TA so high?

OCLT: at 7:30pm, dusk it was 5.5. At 7:30am, dawn it was 4. So 1.5?
Should I do another OCLT tonight?
Yeah, it was stupid to add that much. I dunno why I did that.
 
Sorry -- I remembered you answered the OCLT above. I would raise the FC to SLAM level. See what that does to the cloudy water. The baking soda add should have cleared by now.
 
Because it will put the stains back. But that is going to happen eventually unless you replace the water.

Up to you. Zero chlorine in your environment quickly invites algae.
