Is this algae or some other sort of organism?

I'll sometimes find these little segmented strands floating around in my pool. They are often curled up in a circular shape. Adding a few photos, but it's hard to get a get one of them. Is it algae, a worm, eggs, or something else? Thanks for the help!

Not Algae! <whew!> Could be bird or bug poop, or tree debris.... but NOT algae!

That's good! We do have a lot of trees right by the pool and covering part of it. I guess as long as my free chlorine is in the appropriate range, whatever it is won't be an issue to anyone swimming?

I truly doubt it. Just vacuum the puppies up and keep chemistry in line.....
