Eclipse3 Enforce Stain and Scale Remover (1 L) is an all natural mineral treatment that removes and prevents stains from forming in and on your pool and equipment, available direct online from Pool Supplies Canada.
This doesn't answer much about its usefulness in pools or how effective it is for what you want:
The phosphonate you listed goes by HEDP as a quick abbreviation. The salt just means in place of a proton(s) it has a sodium ion(s). It's effectively the same thing. It's a chelator so it's a good sequestrant generally and is a common one. The salt might be easier to manufacture or to package than the free acid.
Your stains sound like iron stains and I'd be concerned about why those are occurring. I don't know your post history, so it could just be from your fill water. I'm sure others will add more.
