I had a Dolphin that ate power supplies and lasted 3.5 years. My Polaris iQ just died after 5 years, but two months long repair visits, error 10 flooded control board.
$1200-$1500 bucks is too much to spend for 3-4 summers of service.

Is there an acceptable cleaner out there that is built to actually last?
I don’t need it to scan my pool. The idiot pressure side cleaner did fine.
No bells, no whistles, bulletproof… Recommendations?

d,

A lot of people on here have the same issue. For many it's OK if they don't last more than 5 years, for others that's too much. But I can't seem to find a reliable robot that has proven over 5 year life. So for me I'll go with the least expensive one that can do the trick and all it needs is automation mode. Like the Pentair Warrior SE or equivalent.

I did the same thing. I’m on cleaner number two in 7 years. Bought the warrior se last year. It’s starting to have problems now. I’m so frustrated with these cleaners. I’m willing to entertain other options.
