Is that algae on my walls?

Hi TFP Family. I recently moved to a new house and inherited a chlorine pool. Pebble finish is only 2 years old. WhisperFlow pump (looks old) and a CP-2000 by Compool controller inside the house.

I’ve noticed algae forming on the walls. It brushes off easily, but need some advice on how to prevent it from happening or it causing a bigger issue down the road.

My readings are:
FC - 1.5
CH - 580
PH - 8+
TA - 130
CYA - 35

how much of what chemicals do I need to get my chemistry right?

You need to follow the SLAM Process. You need a FAS-DPD test kit for testing FC.

Lower your pH to 7.2. Your CYA is 40 ppm (round up). SLAM level FC is 16 ppm.

I’m at the store now and bulking up on supplies. Am I going to need chlorine tablets once I’m done slamming?

I just finished the SLAM process and my water looks crystal clear now.
Current readings are:

FC: 3
TA: 150
PH: 7.2
CH: 780
CYA: 30

As you can see my TA is too high and PH too low.

I would slam for one more day followed by another OCLT just for insurance.
